NCC/Scout & Guides

Scouts and Guides is a voluntary organization that is an integral part of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). It is a non-military organization that helps students develop their character, self-reliance, and leadership skills.
Here are some details about Scouts and Guides in KVS:
Activities: Scouts and Guides activities include camping, hiking, social service, and community development.
Awards: The highest award for Cubs and Bulbuls is the Golden Arrow, and the highest award for Scouts and Guides is the Rashtrapati Scout/Guide Award. Other awards include Advancement Badges, ‘Rajya Puraskar’, ‘Gallantry Medals’, ‘Silver Elephant’, ‘Bar – to – silver star’, and ‘Silver star’.
Motto: The motto of Scouts and Guides is “Be Prepared”.
Enrollment: Students from classes III to X are encouraged to enroll.
Benefits: Scouts and Guides helps students build confidence and self-esteem, and provides opportunities to explore the world beyond the classroom.
