On 24th August 2024, the closing ceremony of the three-day “Handicraft Art Training Camp” was held in the presence of Honorable Sub-Divisional Officer Bangana, Mr. Sonu Goyal at Kendriya Vidyalaya Bangana. The artisans of Handicraft Service Center Kullu made the students proficient in skills like making pottery, making clay toys, making candles, preparing other articles from wax, making various decorative items from bamboo, making decorative items from pine needles. On the last day of the three-day camp, an exhibition was also held in which various handmade items made by the students were displayed. Mannat Thakur of class VII got the first place. Riddhi of class VIII got the second place. Anshika, a student of class VIII got the third place. Special guest Mrs. Indu Bala praised the hand skills of the students. The Principal of the school, Mr. Girish Chand inspired the students to become self-reliant by acquiring proficiency in handicrafts. Addressing the students, the Honorable Sub-Divisional Officer said that in accordance with the “New Education Policy- 2020”, this The program will prove to be a foundation stone in realizing the dream of self-reliant India. Program coordinator Mr. Manoj Kumar and Senior teacher Kirpal Singh expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the entire handicraft team providing training under the leadership of Handicraft Promotion Officer Mr. Sandeep Kumar.
